Modern foyer

Foyer Project

We hope you are enjoying Macleay’s modernised Foyer. It was a few years in the planning and execution. Covid threw a bit of a spanner in works slowing the actual work down. But now it is largely complete thanks to Jan and the Foyer Sub-Committee – thanks for the all of the hard work, it has been worth it!! Also thanks to Melanie for the overall design coordination and project management.

Just to remind you – here are some photos of the original foyer.

And see how far we have come with the new modern design.

Please enjoy the new space.

Howard Smith Wharves Development

Bored with eating just on Kangaroo Point? Head on over to the new redevelopment of the Howard Smith Wharves.  Open in November 2018 the 3.43 hectare site  includes several restaurants, an over water bar,  a new riverside parkland and boutique hotel (still under development).  Two lifts give access from Bowen Terrace above, vehicle access is via Boundary Street. Wilson Parking available but Kangaroo Point residents only have to cross the bridge by foot.

At the moment, during the holiday season, it’s bustling and loud but should be a lot calmer by the end of January 2019.
