As you are probably aware, our lift refurbishment project is currently underway. The three Tower Lift upgrades have largely been copmpleted and there are some photos below. I hope you will agree that the new interior looks great. The new lifts have a new motors and control systems.  There are still some outstanding operational issues with Lift 1 which, hopefully will be resolved shortly and there are some remaining cosmetic issues, which will be attended to over the next few weeks.

Replacement of the Villa Tower will start around the end of May.

This entire project will take around 18 months to complete and during this period one lift at a time will be out of service, while it is being upgraded. This will cause some delays in lift arrivals and construction noise at times. We ask for everyone’s patience during this period.

This modernisation project will increase the reliability, safety and disability compliance of our lifts.

The scope of the project includes:

• Tower Lifts
  • Replacement of all of the major mechanical and electrical lift components
  • Re-fitting the lift interiors – the physical lift car chassis will be retained
  • Re-polishing/replacement (as required) of the lift door skins on each floor
  • New lift call buttons and indicators on each floor
• Villa Lifts
  • Total replacement of the lift cars and associated mechanical and electrical components. The existing hydraulic lifts are being replaced with traction lifts.
  • Re-polishing/replacement (as required) of the lift door skins on each floor
  • New lift call buttons and indicators on each floor
